Due Dates on Marketplace Direct Orders

If you choose to, you can select a due date for when you need the content back. This will replace the standard processing time on your orders. This date can be days, weeks, or months into the future.

We strongly recommend that you give yourself a few days’ grace period to accommodate and extension requests or revisions.

Example: If you need the content to be published by the 30th, put your complete by date as the 28th.

Sending a Direct Order to a Writer

When you send the direct order to your writer, they will have three options when reviewing the instructions:

1) Review & Accept Order

Review the order instructions

See what the specified due date is

Accept the order and it becomes part of their in-progress work

They will have up to the specified due date to submit the content for your review. 

2) Suggest Changes

  • Review what the specified due date is
  • Suggest a new due date if they can’t complete the project by the date provided
  • Send a note for clarification on the due date, or other instructional information
    • You will receive an email and an in-app notification when a writer uses this function.

 3) Decline

  • If the writer cannot commit to your project, they will leave a message.
    • The order will be returned to you so that it can be reassigned or modified. 
    • If you need a new writer recommendation please contact support or Client Success. 
    • You will receive an email and in-app notification when a writer uses this function.

Receiving a Suggested Change Request

If a writer cannot make your deadline they will sudggest an alternative date for you to review, along with a comment.

You as the client will now have the option to Accept their proposed Offer, Suggest another date or decline the offer.

Suggesting Changes and Declining The Order offer will provide you space to send along a note to the Worker.

More Direct Order Information

  • If no action is taken on a direct order, the order is automatically marked as declined within 24 hours (if there is a due date specified) or 5 days (if there is no due date specified).
  • The order will be available for you to modify, reassign or resend to the requested writer.  We encourage our writers to take action on a direct order as soon as possible because it keeps you informed and on target for your project deadline.
